Abstract

Sleep and recovery are critical components of an athlete's performance and overall health. This article explores the intricate relationship between sleep, recovery, and injury risk in athletes. By examining current research, we aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of how sleep deprivation and inadequate recovery can increase the likelihood of injuries. The article also discusses strategies to optimize sleep and recovery to mitigate injury risk. The findings underscore the importance of integrating sleep and recovery protocols into athletic training programs.
