Abstract
Concussions are a significant concern in contact sports due to their potential to cause long-term neurological damage. Effective concussion management protocols are essential to mitigate these risks and ensure the safety of athletes. This article explores the effects of concussion management protocols in contact sports, examining their development, implementation, and outcomes. The study reviews existing literature, analyzes case studies, and evaluates the effectiveness of various protocols. The findings suggest that well-designed and consistently applied concussion management protocols can significantly reduce the incidence and severity of concussions, improve recovery times, and enhance overall athlete safety. However, challenges such as compliance, education, and resource allocation remain. This article concludes with recommendations for improving concussion management in contact sports.
