Internet of Things (IoT) in smart cities: Prospects and challenges
Abstract
The concept of Smart Cities represents the integration of advanced technologies in urban planning, utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) systems to improve the quality of life for residents. IoT in smart cities enables efficient management of urban infrastructure, enhances sustainability, and optimizes resource usage. However, several challenges persist, such as privacy concerns, data security, and technological limitations. This paper explores the prospects of IoT in smart cities, as well as the associated challenges, proposing solutions to these problems for future advancements.
